II Samuel 11

2 Samuel 11 was the fall of David. One evening when David was idled he walked in the roof of his house and found a beautiful woman bathing. Then he inquires who the woman was and later of the story he commits adultery to this woman. Idleness will cause us to sin because our mind is the playground of Satan. When Bathsheba conceived because of their sin, David finds a way to solve this problem. Instead of inquiring to God and ask for forgiveness he did what he think is right. He ordered Urriah, Bathsheba's husband to go home but Urriah didn't went home because of his integrity. So David made another plan to cover his sin by putting Urriah into the forefront of the battle that he may die there. And indeed, Urriah died on the battlefield. When the news reached to David that Urriah died he then took Bathsheba to be her wife after her mourning for the death of her husband. But all things that David did displeased the Lord.
