I Samuel 11
In I Samuel 11. We see how David spares Saul's life. David hid himself in the wilderness of En Gedi to avoid Saul's scheme to kill him. When the news reached Saul where David hid he took his army and searched for David. But this made David to have a chance in killing him. But because of David's great respect and the fear of God, he doesn't allowed that Saul be killed instead he cut some part of Saul's robe and showed it to him, how God delivered him into his hand but spares his life. Because of David's action, Saul concluded that David is more righteous that him and surely he shall be king over Israel.
