The Book of Judges

The Book of Judges records the list and personalities of Judges in Israel. Gideon, who was one of the Judges of Israel. He goes to battle with the Midianites but God intervened by testing them of who would go for battle and only 300 men were able to go. The weapon that Gideon and his army used were only trumpets and pitcher in their hand that were insane in human standard in attacking for battle. But they won because God is with them. For the battle is His.





Samson was also in told in this book who was one of the famous judge in Israel. In his account we see how the Spirit of God was upon him. Though he won in all his battle, weaknesses towards women made him fall. He was captured by the Philistines and were humiliated. Despite of his weaknesses God is gracious upon him that he able to destroy all the Philistines. For the strength of man comes from God.
