Is God unfair?

Different ideas are displayed when we talk about God's fairness. Some might say that God is fair but was trap in complaining why God allows bad things to happen. And others also say, that God is unfair because of their lots of complaint against God. Before we exegesis this topic, let me ask you a question. Who is God in your life?

Lot of questions have been raised in terms of asking why wicked prosper and the righteous are not, why God took “good” people rather than bad. And why crimes, addiction, lewdness and evil reign while holiness falter. These questions might be the main reasons why people become atheists – not believing in the existence of God as they are trying to twist God's character and make Him what their mind suggest. So we indict God and say to ourselves that He is unfair or is not existing.
Confusion sprouts in our minds and trying to ask if God is love then why do we get hurt; if He is truly God then why do we suffer? So, we grab our fist towards God and cries out “ Lord if you are God, give me justice?” Friends, if God will grant us justice, are we willingly take it in full?
In Isaiah 6:1-3 and Revelation 4:8, angels were covering their faces and cries out “ Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of hosts.” God's holiness made the angels covers their eyes because of His greatness, and glory. He is definitely awesome and is set apart from anybody else either in heaven or on earth. It denotes that He is absolutely pure, without taint of sin and frailty. God in His sovereignty and holiness can't make sin acceptable nor look at it.

Brethren, if God will give us justice it will cause our very own lives. “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness” (Romans 1:18). But you may argue that God can't bore wrath upon us because He is love. And yes, God is love but don't set aside that He is so holy that He can't overlook sin. “We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). So what's the remedy for our sin? The Bible says, FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH – (Romans 6:23a). So I challenge you. Do you want justice?

God's holiness is not a consuming fire but a source of grace also. We've learned that the penalty of sin is death and therefore we all deserved to die and be cast out from the lake of fire. But praise God, He gave His only begotten Son and took our place to die on the cross. The word of God, who was with God and was God (John 1:1) became flesh to become human like us willingly gave up His own life for our salvation. And after three days He rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. Friends, if we confess with our mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. For it is with our heart that we believe and are justified, and it is with our mouth that we confess and are saved (Romans 10:9-10).

God has plan to each one of us but we heed not on Him instead we chose our own path that leads to grave. Romans 3:10-18 “As it is written, there is no one righteous, not even one;there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes.

People are suffering and were starving to death because they never knew that only Jesus can give them peace and the satisfaction that the world can't offer. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). Though wicked prosper they never knew that everything they gain can't give them the full assurance of joy. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36). Because of godlessness crimes, murder and evil are scattered in the entire world. “If my people, which are called by my Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

We only have one life to live and we can't predict our future and death. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). Rather questioning God, why not pray to Him and ask Him for mercy and grace.
To end this up, let us asks ourselves this question.

Is God really unfair?

  2. All these years people in everywhere question God, why?.. and called Him unfair, without even thinking and trying to understand that God sent His one and only Son into the world to die for our sins, PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE. He was never obligated to save a sinful, wicked and adulterous generations yet Christ humbly came to the world He created, suffered, bleed, crushed and die for our sins.. Now, when Jesus died for a wretch like you and me... was He FAIR or UNFAIR?
