1 Chronicles 14 is the story how David gains victory over the Philistines. When David was anointed to be king of Israel, the Philistine took a raid on the Valley of Rephaim. So David inquired of the Lord and ask for guidance if he will to go against the Philistines and the Lord said to him that the Philistines will be delivered into his hands. So David and his men went up to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. And the place where it all took place was called “Baal Perazim” means as water break out, God has broken out againts my enemies by my hand. Once more the Philistines raided the valley and again David inquired of God and he defeated the Philistine army as what God had told him. So David's fame spread throughout every land, and the Lord made all the nations fear him.
